The 2006 advertising season featured a delightful display ad in the Outer Banks and Hatteras/Ocracoke Visitors Guide that couldn’t
help but entice our northern visitors to discover our Southern Outer Banks shores.
The 2007 advertising season will feature ads in Our State Travels that will promote Beaufort as a year ‘round destination “A Beaufort

The BBA sponsors annual activities to attract more visitors and to embrace our local community….
The Fourth of July Parade is a must-see for visitors and locals alike. Held on July 4, the parade celebrates the best in community spirit
bringing family and friends together.
Sea Side Santa motors into town the day after Thanksgiving. His arrival by boat to the downtown boardwalk area is one of the
highlights of the holiday season. He welcomes kids of all ages into his waterfront holiday house each Saturday before Christmas. This
event brings many families into Beaufort for a unique and stress-free Holiday shopping experience.
Third Thursday is fast becoming a popular family oriented musical venue featuring live music on the boardwalk within easy walking
distance to our fine restaurants and shops during the early evening hours.
To extend our season, the BBA is working on scheduling two new events for our slower times - one will be an event that will showcase
our growing artist community and the other will be a new version of the old pirate invasion.
The BBA takes pride in our community….
Beaufort is a dog-friendly community and the BBA sponsors two conveniently located “Mutt Mitt” dispensers so it will be a clean
community as well.
The BBA extends an award of excellence to a business that has renovated and improved its outward appearance.
The BBA extends a welcoming hand to a new business with a potted plant from Tierra Fina and the Garden Chair Lady.
